While Pepe was created in a bilingual classroom, you do not have to be a bilingual teacher to use Pepe.

Whether students are learning a new language, feeling shy, missing home, or facing something new, Pepe is there to support them—like a trusted friend.
What is Pepe?
Pepe creates a safe and special space for students to express their feelings.
In the classroom, teachers can create a “Pepe Box” where students can share their thoughts, feelings, or worries—things they may not feel ready to share out loud.
Students know that if something is not an emergency, they can talk to Pepe. This helps them build independence while still feeling supported.
When they are ready, they can share with their teacher—but Pepe is always there first as a safe listener

Students can take Pepe home just like a class pet!
Pepe comes with a small suitcase where students can pack his “food” and take care of him.
This creates a special connection between home and school while helping students build responsibility and excitement for learning.

Pepe can also be used as a fun and meaningful classroom reward system that builds community and excitement.
